About
me
My name is
Simon Petrovčič and I hold a university bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering, structural division.
My fields of interest are earthquake
engineering, computational mechanics, construction IT, numerical mathematics and mathematical
programming.
My
bachelor's thesis focuses on load assessment and design of thin-walled
cylindrical silo structures. The
work serves as a guidebook to silo designers, as it offers
a full overview of the silo loading and design process in accordance
with EN Eurocodes. A computer program for
determining loads on silo walls due to the stored particulate solid
material is also included in the work.
In
cooperation with
prof. dr. Werner Guggenberger from
Graz University of Technology I am currently working on a silo load
assessment handbook, which continues the work from my thesis.
I am
experienced in using the following computer programs and programming
environments:
MS
Office,
AutoCad,
SAP2000,
ETABS,
SCIA ESA,
Mathematica,
Matlab,
Visual Basic
.NET and Java.
I am also experienced in web-page design. You can
view my latest site at
